Bamboo is the new black
Three reasons why the Soleone bamboo t-shirt is our new favourite basic tee.
1. It fits. Really well. We didn’t know our other t-shirts didn’t fit well, until we tried this one on. The super long body and slim fit are flattering and comfortable. And it means no thong flashes between our low cut jeans and our top.
2. Soleone tees are made from 95 per cent bamboo (and five per cent spandex, for that much needed stretch.) We love bamboo because it is soft, sustainable, hypoallergenic, wrinkle resistant, biodegradable, and wicks away moisture. What more could you ask for from a fibre?
3. It is a Vancouver brand. And we love buying local. —Alexandra Suhner Isenberg

That's Just the Way It Is
When life gives you lemons, buy a t-shirt.
The “C’est La Vie” tee from new Vancouver line Tres Bobo, specifically. Made of organic, fair trade cotton, the soft, deep v-neck tee is the perfect retort to any Melrose Place-like drama that comes your way.

Back to Cool
Our kid sisters needn’t walk a mile in our knock-off Doc Martens.
Thanks to “Don’t Miss the Marc,” a back-to-school capsule collection by Marc Jacobs, the younger set can have a taste of high fashion at a fraction of the cost. All eight pieces, which include jackets, jeans, skirts, scarves, leggings and tees, ring in under $200. We think the Miss Marc “Don’t Fret My Pet” t-shirt (pictured, $58) is the perfect fashion statement on the high drama of high school.Scoring top Marcs isn’t so hard after all.
