    Bandanarama

We all brag about how fantastic our local mountains are, so let’s put our money where our mouth is, and start supporting our local mountain’s brands too.

Nibz is a Whistler-based ski and snowboard bandana brand founded by a professional female snowboard athlete, Sara Niblock. She started making the bandanas when she broke her back, and her triple layer construction works brilliantly to wick moisture and keep your face warm when you are out on the slopes.

With a huge variety of prints and solid colours, it will be easy to choose a pattern. Less easy to board as well as her. —Alexandra Suhner Isenberg

    Free Ride

We’re carving out time in our busy schedules for an after hours board meeting. No shredding documents though—only snow.

In the company of girlfriends, we headed with snowboards in tow to Mt. Seymour for Guys Night Out, Girls Ride Free. The evening event, which  runs every Monday until March 16, lets gals get on the chair lift at no charge. Just pick up a pass at Pacific Boarder before you head to hill and you’re set to slay the slopes.

Think ladies night at the club, but with more dignified ogling (ski wear is the great equalizer).

Free lift passes (limit two per person) at Pacific Boarder, 1793 W. Fourth Ave., Vancouver, 604-734-7245, www.pacificborder.com
