    OUR ONE CONDITION

We may not have the long luscious locks of our childhood, but we still suffer from those tear inducing tangles that plagued us in our playground days.

On the hunt for a grown-up solution we found a local product that makes running a comb through our hair a expletive-free affair. Infused with natural extracts like lemongrass and sage, Statik Salon’s sweet smelling Silk Spray detangles and conditions with just a couple spritzes.

The best part? The spray comes in both an 8 oz bottle ($19) that will keep those headstrong knots in line for months and a travel-ready 2 oz bottle ($6) for cross-continental entanglements.

So whether that mutinous mane is courtesy of a brisk walk around the Sea Wall or a week on the beach in Playa del Carmen [link: http://www.hotelbasico.com/index2.html], there’ll be no more tress-induced tears.

    TRESSES? NO STRESSES!

As if the bad hair day wasn’t torturous enough, the epic line-up at your local java joint meant you went without your recommended daily intake of espresso roast.

Double trouble begone. From now until November 7th, when you pop in to Blo at the Four Seasons between 7-10:30 a.m. for a $30 blow out, you’ll also go out with a coffee and biscotti in hand courtesy of Yew Restaurant and Bar.

Coifed, caffeinated and ready to take on the world. Or at least the unruly fax machine.

    angel hair

Trying to fit in a cut-and-colour between holiday shopping and socializing--not to mention work--can drive even the most skilled multi-tasker to the brink of madness.

But before you resort to trimming your own bangs a la rebellious toddler, we'd like to introduceyou to Halo Salon.

Catering to women-on-the-go,the salon is open until 9 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and boasts weekendhours that actually allow you to pick-up that strapless number you dropped off at the cleaners three weeks ago.

Sound too good to be true? It gets better.

Staff is friendly, stylists listen before they cut, and regulars swear owner Cindee Beirness is a genius with colour and hard-to-treat hair types.

And they may still have a few free appointments before the ball drops.
