    Getting Down with Winter

Canadians know a cold winter better than most, so when it comes to keeping warm, they can be counted on to make the best down jackets. Here’s what to wear when the temperatures drop below zero.

Canada Goose’s new award-winning HyBridge Lite line features down filled, slim fitting jackets that weigh less than ten ounces. Wear them on their own (West Coast winters are pretty mild) or as an extra layer underneath your stylish wool coat. $450, at Holt Renfrew.

For the best selection of colours, including light pink, dark pink, grey, camel, and black, check out Joe Fresh’s down jackets. They’ve also got the friendliest price tag. $49, at Joe Fresh.

We like wearing Red Canoe’s reversible down vest on top of skinny knits and jeans (you can buy a size up so it is oversized.) Super easy to throw on when you are running out of the house, and no sleeves means easier mobility when you are driving and running errands. $149.99, at www.redcanoebrands.com from mid-November. —Alexandra Suhner Isenberg
