Named after Melbourne’s hippest ‘hood, Fitzroy is Toronto’s place for affordable fashion from cool Aussie labels you’ve likely only heard of if you read Vogue Australia.

The seasonal pop up opened in Yorkville just in time for TIFF, but a second one is slated for Queen West come winter. Owners Angela Pastor and Julie Buczkowski are working on an online shop too. Cool, breezy days call for an Aztec print poncho ($88) from Ladakh. Other standout pieces come from Bardot, Thread for Thought and cult label, One Teaspoon. A local nod goes to Species (sp.) by Sarah Donofrio. Her printed shorts and tea-dresses are darling, but sadly too skimpy for winter.

Unless you live down under that is. —Athena Tsavliris
