Let the Cat out of the Bag
Her collection of vintage frocks and baubles attracts Toronto's top stylists and designers and her window displays are known to stop traffic. It’s no surprise then that The Cat's Meow Louise Cooper’s blog is an attention-grabber too.
With tips, trends and the latest additions to her store, this vintage portal is a fun place to escape to while dining al desko. Have a look at me wearing full-length vintage Valentino skirt in Cooper’s Out and About section.

The Burning Question
A Ralph Lauren alligator belt, vintage Woolrich horse-skin hunting gloves, a Rolex and a shell from Nicaragua are just some of the things Foster Huntington would save if his house were burning down.
In his Burning House blog, the New York-based photographer asks fellow creatives, "If your house was burning, what would you take with you?" Each neatly curated photograph reveals the interests, backgrounds and priorities of each subject. Unsurprisingly, cameras, books and laptops feature heavily.
The first things I would reach for would be my photographs. What about you? —AT

Book Worms
“The best of mural decorations is books; they are more varied in color and appearance than any wallpaper, they are more attractive in design, and they have the prime advantage of being separate personalities, so that if you sit alone in the room in the firelight, you are surrounded with intimate friends.” - William Lyon Phelps
If books are like friends, then Bookshelf Porn is Facebook for tomes. From residential libraries to public ones to simple stacks of books, hundreds of colourful images, each one book-related, are showcased on this photo-blog. We’ve drooled over the perfectly designed bookcases, loved the randomly stacked piles of books and imagined we were right there, among the old hardcovers in a tiny shop somewhere in Europe perhaps. As you can probably tell, we urge you to proceed with caution: once you start, you can’t stop. —MG

NOSTALGIA FOR HERE
You never love your city more than when you're returning to it. The most beautiful home-flights land at the crack of dawn, when the skyline rises to greet you, and blue mist bursts on the needle of the CN Tower. Ahhh. Toronto. You did miss it, after all.
It's a moment held delicately in this expired-Polaroid film snap, taken from Ward's Island and reprinted by Geoff and Anabela of the loverly local blog—and Etsy shop—Fieldguided. Get yours for $10 in 6'x8'' or 5'x7'' with a glossy or matte finish. Give it an old wooden frame, spray-painted white. Hang with care. —SNP

On a Blogroll
No self-respecting blogger is still on wordpress. When it comes to image-only blogs especially, Tumblr is where it’s at. Here are some of our current loves.
Hopeless romantics will fall head over heels for the images and text over at Better than Fine. With a gorgeous mix of fashion, illustration and pure whimsy, Tatielle is one of our favourite blogs out there.
Modern Hepburn is a beautifully curated blog of fashion, food and interior design. Don’t you just love this photo of Audrey?
Forget getting any work done today. Fashion lovers will swoon over the images at Love You Kath.
If you haven't already checked out Honestly...WTF, you are missing out. Accessories designer Erica Chan Coffman and stylist Lauren Kolodny recently ventured into Tumblr territory with images that are nothing short of stunning. —AT

Remake Your Space
If you're yearning to reno your living area, take a cue from the charmers in Parkdale.
The "hello! neighbour" feature over at gorgeous interiors/lifestyle blog, The Marion House Book, is a wonderful insight into the homes and people of Parkdale. There’s a lot to love about the Rachel Riordan and Paul Riss’ colourful Victorian, like the bold mix of pink paint colours on the trim and ceiling in the living room. Take inspiration from the eclectic smorgasbord of old and new at Liz Ikiriko and Clay Stang’s home.
Whether it's reupholstering a forlorn love seat or buffing the scratches out of the hardwood floor, each little DIY task brings us one step closer to have our own feature in "hello! neighbour."

Icing on the cake
What girl doesn’t swoon over fanciful clothes and cakes covered in colourful icing?
I love muffins is an adorable blog filled with deliciously pretty images of both. It’s hard not to get swept away by the starry halos, glittery ponchos and printed frocks. The baked goods are equally gorgeous – especially this Marie Antoinette themed one.We tried out these brezel muffins and they truly are yummy.

Eat, Blog and Be Merry
It doesn’t take a lot to make us happy—white peonies, a French interiors magazine or freshly pressed sheets.
A website called kiss my spatula has the same affect. The photographs alone on this delightful food blog are enough to make you want to dive into your screen with a giant spoon.Indeed, an abundance of delicious recipes await, from almond-plum galette to satsuma sorbet to freshly baked breads. Blogger Giao Trac even makes music suggestions to pair with each dish.
You know what else makes us happy? Warm baguettes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
