    MORE THAN A VIEW

While some see hotel rooms as a place to stash bags, have a wash and get a decent night’s kip, we see Frette linens, pashmina robes and a mini bar stacked with champagne, candy cigarettes and a chilled eye mask.

Or at least that’s the kind of hotel room we fantasize about.

Bill Tikos, editor of trend-setting blog the cool hunter, turned our fantasy into a reality by roaming the world in search of The World’s Coolest Hotel Rooms.

Making the short list is our very own Drake Hotel as well as one of our dream destinations—The Riva Lofts in Florence. Located about 20-minutes outside the city, these huge two-and three-storey warehouse-style suites are stunning. The hotel even supplies bikes for you to ride into town.

    Dream a little dream….

    FASHION FICTION

To some, fashion is just an exercise in frivolity. For Lucinda McRuvy and Max Velosse, the fictitious fashionistas of Rags and Mags, it’s a way of life.

The clever brainchild of Toronto Fashion Incubator blogger Carolyn Rohaly and fashion illustrator extraordinaire Danielle Meder, Rags and Mags eavesdrops on two separate yet thoroughly authentic perspectives on Toronto’s fashion scene. Through the eyes of two fictional characters (hopeful designer Max and veteran fashion writer Lucinda), the site is fresh, fun and doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Some non-fiction types should take note.
