Step aside sparkle, there’s a new fad in town. We mean splatter paint, and it’s all the rage.

Local style-setter Ashley Rowe pays homage to Pollock, Twombly, Hirst, et al. with a series of limited edition splatter-painted T-shirts ($125).

Each one was a collaborative creative effort between Rowe and her five muses; recording artist Anna Cyzon, stylist Jessica Albano, fashion writer Sarah Nicole Prickett and brasandranties.com blogger Jen Newton.

Snooping inside other people’s homes is considered uncouth, but when you’re a photographer with a flock of famous friends you make a blog out of that boorish behaviour and we adore you.

Todd Selby is that lensman-cum-blogger and he’s turned his popular website into a book. The Selby Is In Your Place takes you inside the weird and wonderful homes of muses, models, DJs and fashion designers. We learned all kinds of things about a few of our favourite personalities, like Karl Lagerfeld’s love for books is ceiling-high and Lou Doillon collects taxidermy.

No Cold Shoulder

From Balmain-inspired chain epaulettes to oversized pads, shoulders have been getting some very special treatment of late.

We’re mad about these wearable harnesses (from $80) from New York-based fashion blogger, stylist and designer Zana Bayne. The three-tiered wings are made from leather, and give their wearer the strength and dynamism of a gladiator.

Now all we need is a shoulder massage when we get home from battle.
