new york nights
Not that sleeping should be your top priority when visiting New York, but here’s a new boutique hotel where you might just want to park your LV luggage.
Brand new from young international playboy/hotelier Vikram Chatwal, the Night Hotel was just completing its penthouse when our vv attaché checked in recently.
Located in Midtown off Times Square, the décor is very film-noir (fitting with next fall’s dark fashion themes). Carpets have a black-and-white gothic print, wallpaper is black-and-white damask, and the sleigh headboards are curved black leather. The result? About as sexy as it gets.
Everything is style-y, from the Bose Wave radios, to the 42-inch plasmas, to the Frette linen throughout—even though it’s considered a budget hotel by New York standards.
They’ve even configured the in-room lighting to be photo-shoot friendly, should you wish to document your evening.
Just make sure you don’t make use of that Wi-Fi connection on a late-night “artistic” whim after too many brandy flights at the hotel bar…
