bargains in the 'burbs
We're not ones for big-box shopping either, being boutique girls at heart. There's nothing sexy about jumbo Cheerios or XL peanut butter.
But when a large supermarket introduces well-designed furniture to rival Caban at a fraction of the price, that's something worth driving for.
Real Canadian Superstore has been stealthily introducing home furnishings among the President's Choice cookies--like a three-level chrome-and -frosted-glass bathroom cart ($39) or medical-style mirrored cabinets for about $20.
Brand new is a range of furniture in recycled chocolate brown or black leather, including sleek dining chairs for $59 and a knock-off Mies Van der Rohe's Barcelona chair and ottoman ($199, $99).
So if we throw a case of President's Choice organic thin-crust pizzas in the back with the dining room set, well who can blame us?
