    Made in Quebec

When it comes to showing our provincial pride, Queb-Con clothing often feels like it’s limited to Habs-themed tees and tuques.

Not so at New Mile End boutique Une Ile en Amérique, which celebrates Quebec’s distinct sense of style by devoting the entirety of the airy two-floor space to our artistes en résidence. Along with right-off-the-runway items by Marie Ste Pierre and Denis Gagnon, we spied a sweet burgundy suede dress by Barila ($240), a lustworthy lace skirt by Michel Desjardins ($770), and a luxuriously flowing silk and wool grey cardigan by Martin Lim ($385).

Now we can wear our hearts on our sleeves. —Jennifer Nachshen
