Beckham’s boxers
Top of the morning to you, David!
While we’ll make any excuse to gawk at Mr. Posh Spice in his skivves, we have an especially good one this morning as his collection of bodywear is launching at H&M today.
Following in the Mrs.’ designer footsteps, the football player has concocted a collection of men’s basics for H&M, including boxers (from $14.95) and a t-shirt ($17.95).
His tank ($17.95) has quickly become a fave with the ladies, if only because “We’re wearing David Beckham’s tank top” is a phrase we just can’t get enough of.—Christine Laroche

Pastel me pretty
They felt wild at first but our red, teal and purple jeans are starting to feel totally tame.
We’re stepping up our rainbow antics and slapping down our credit card for these pastel jeans by Second ($120). The aqua hue undeniably pretty, the mid-rise, skinny cut is super flattering and they are comfy cozy.
Because sandals in the snow are a definite no-no, we’re sneaking in some new season style with these must-have jeans. —Christine Laroche

Sunglasses Standoff
We're breaking up with our Ray Bans.
Dear Ray Ban sunnies,
The past few years have been great. We loved playing spot-the-Wayfarer-wearing hipster at Osheaga (and losing count within the first five minutes). We’ve shared some good times, but we just can’t shake that been there, done that feeling.
You see, we’ve found a new label to love: Raen. It’s based in California, has plenty of indie appeal and a lovely vintage-y look.
So yes, it’s true: We’re picking up the Breslin frame ($135) at Boutique Archive.
But don’t worry: It’s not you, it’s us. —Christine Laroche

A White New Years Eve
We may not be in Rio to bring in the New Year, but there’s no reason we can’t celebrate like the Brazilians.
Their New Years celebrations involve dressing all in white, flocking to the beach after midnight, jumping seven waves, and throwing flowers into the sea. Ok, this might be tough for our Calgary readers, the Montreal and Toronto folk won’t want to be anywhere near a beach in this weather, and Vancouverites wait until New Years day to jump into the ocean (nope, you won’t be seeing this editor at the Polar Bear swim.) But there’s no reason why you can’t wear a white dress.
We love this Ann Demeul.Blanche dress from Luisa Via Roma. It is a bit pricey, but fits in great with the spring summer 2012 white dress trends, and this lovely drapy shape will get you through spring parties and summer weddings. Our tip: tanned skin (fake or real) looks great with a white dress. And then you can imagine you got some sun in Brazil. —Alexandra Suhner Isenberg

Everyone’s going to be sporting an LBD at the holiday party, so why not go a step further with some sequins. Now you’ve got an LBSD: Little Black Sequined (or Sexy) Dress.
We love the MMK Sequin tunic ($195), as well as Banana Republic’s strapless Sequin Sheath ($185). Go a little Grrrrr with Faith Connexion’s tiger-striped mini with a racy cut-out back ($520) or switch it up and wear some Little Black Sequined Pants with these Siwy sequin cropped jeans ($219.21). If head-to-toe sequins feel like a little much, just wear a regular LBD topped with this IRO Cuzia Sequin Jacket ($790).

Editors' Picks: My 5 Favourite Things
Ever wonder what items our editors can't live without? Today Jennifer Nachshen, our Montreal editor shares hers:
I’m far more fickle about my faves than Maria Von Trapp ever was. Here are the top five I’m falling for this season (we’ll see what happens in a month or two):
Rag & Bone Denim
I’m so in love with the brightly coloured and patterned denim from Rag & Bone that I’m anxiously awaiting a trip to NYC to buy a pair in every shade. Until then I can get my fix at TNT. TNT, 4100 Ste. Catherine St. West, Montreal, 514-9351588, www.rag-bone.com
Anemone Earrings
These Anemone earrings by Esty for Birks ($275) may look simple, but whenever I wear them people come in for a closer look to fully appreciate the ocean-inspired design. Birks, 1240 Phillips Square, Montreal, 514-397-2511, www.birks.com
NARS Pure Matte Lipstick in Carthage
I wear NARS Pure Matte Lipstick in Carthage so much that a fuchsia pout has become my signature style. $30 at The Bay, 585 Ste. Catherine St. W., Montreal, 514-281-4422, www.narscosmetics.ca
J. Crew Leopard Pumps
I never considered myself an animal print kind of girl until I tried on these leopard pumps on a recent visit to Toronto’s J. Crew ($424). Now I wear these with everything. Including my leopard print skirt. Rowr. At www.jcrew.com (until we get a J. Crew in Montreal!)
Dry Vodka Martini
My bevvy of choice these days is a dry vodka martini on the rocks, in a rocks glass with extra olives. “So, basically a glass of vodka with lots of olives?” one waiter asked. Fair enough. I have it made with Belvedere (RED), a Special Edition of the classic vodka, giving 50 per cent of profits to help fight HIV/AIDS in Africa, so I’m saving the world, one cocktail at a time. —Jennifer Nachshen
