Décor Galore
When it comes to décor, we hate being hemmed in.
Home accessories boutique Buk & Nola seamlessly blends bohemian-Brit and Cali-cozy with scandesign and shabby-chic. We spotted nature-inspired Danish wallpapers (from $135/roll) and fern-print linen napkins ($42) beside a high-gloss Queen clock ($55) and Dachshund napkin holders (6/$30). We adored the in-house line of floral hanging lamps (from $40) and earthy pepper mills ($68) made from fallen Ontario tree branches.Like what you see? Lady Lavender
Queen Victoria had her castles washed in lavender water while Queen Elizabeth I wore it as perfume.
Little did we know that Canada’s truest form of this multitasking flower is produced right here in Quebec. Fitch Bay’s Bleu Lavande farm grows 100 per cent pure lavender without pesticides and transforms it into sweet smelling linen water spray ($18.50) for your bedding and towels, rich hand cream ($19.50) to nourish skin, and dark chocolate bars for pure edible pleasure. Long live the Queen.
At Carrefour Laval, 3003 Le Carrefour Blvd., Laval, 450-681-2445.
Tour the Bleu Lavande farm, 891 Narrow Road (Rte 247), Fitch Bay, Quebec, 1-888-876-5851, from June 12, tickets $6.

Bonne nuit, bon voyage
We adore the crisp cool sheets of a five-star hotel, but there’s nothing quite like our own bed to bring on the zzz’s.
For a blissful journey to REM, we’re tucking ourselves into a handcrafted duvet by Silk Concept (from $299). Made in Vancouver, each one is filled with raw Chinese Mulberry silk so it’s non-allergenic and cozy all-year round. We also love how it doesn’t trap odours and the box-stitching means no middle of the night bunches. Sharing your bed with a cover hog? Go with the 112 x 100 inch super king size.Dreamland, here we come.

Boudoir Basics
Bedding down on a crumply heap of threadbare sheets is exhausting.
For a full bedroom overhaul, start by making your bed—and an appointment with Ingrid Bryson of Toile Sur Rendez-Vous. An expert in boudoir décor, Bryson will advise on everything from mattress quality (organic latex is the way to go) to thread count (long-staple Egyptian cotton is her favorite) to colour trends (greys and purples are oh-so en vogue), then she’ll measure and custom-tailor the linens to fit. Best of all, she’ll steam your sheets and even make the bed.Now if the paparazzi snaps you doing the horizontal mambo, you’ll look like a star (and sleep like a saint).
