Label Lovers
When your son comes home from school with pink Crocs and a Barbie lunch kit he didn't leave home with, either it's time to start labeling his clothes—or buy him a subscription to Vogue.
Purchasing your fifth PCB-Free water bottle this school year, think of all the time and money you could have saved with stick-on name labels by Vancouver's Emily Press.Specially designed to be laundry and dishwasher-safe, the tiny labels will make sure Poppy and pencil case will always be reunited.

Purse Partnership
J.P. Gaultier and La Perla, McCartney and Gap: we love a good design collaboration.
Now non-profits S.W.A.P. and Montreal Couture have joined forces with Quebec designers to create Style & Conscience, a web boutique that produces locally made fashion items four times a year. Its first creation is a pair of suave satin-lined handbags made from upcycled leather coats. The versatile 007 ($262) has multiple zips, pockets and key chain while the Mini-Me companion clutch ($194) has removable straps and optional tony tassel ($40). We love that each one is made by special order (so no excess inventory) and all profits are re-invested into future fashion collaborations. Two is always better than one.
Available by pre-order until July 31 at www.styleandconscience.com

Well Bred and Well Read
We’re into looks but we’re also into books.
With iPads and Kindles taking over, we think it’s time to celebrate the paperback. Out of Print’s literary-inspired t-shirts ($28) feature classic (but sadly discontinued) book covers like a first edition of Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged, 1962’s Lord of the Flies and The Hound of the Baskervilles in turquoise v-neck. We like that ladies shirts are slim-fitting and made from soft distressed-cotton and for each shirt sold, a book is donated to kids in Africa.Book smart indeed.

Fashion Plates
Dining al fresco doesn’t mean losing all décor(um).
La Plates’ melamine dishware has the glamour of fine china without the threat of destruction. Each plate ($22) can be monogrammed with your initials in classic colors like navy and kelly green, set against preppy prints like houndstooth, clovers or gingham. For a more subtle approach, go for tempered glass cutting boards (from $40), stripy place mats (from $18) or a personalized acrylic tray (from $32). Not sure which initials to use? Consult the site’s Monogram Etiquette guide. Now that’s getting the dish.

Paint the town Pink
If your Little Miss Pretty goes straight for your cosmetics bag the minute you turn around, you’re not alone.
Save your Chanel bronzer (and your carpets) from future make-up shake-ups by appeasing her with painted nails.Hopscotch Kids' non-toxic nail polish comes in kid-friendly shades like Ice Cream, Bubblegum and Teddy Bear pink, and if she chews it off, no problem.
Now replacing that smashed Nars lipstick, that’s a problem.
Available online ($12.99) at www.raspberrykids.com

Mother Superior
We're definitely not a smother mother, but neither are we a slummy mummy.
Perhaps that's why we're drawn again and again to the gorgeous wares at Nonchalant Mom. We can attest personally to the loveliness of the pillows and delicate angel wings of Atsuko et Akiko and are lusting for their new sparkly masks and dressups.
We also love the Fleamarket section for its vintage toddler spoons and forks.
Which we will so nonchalantly integrate into our carefully curated collection of original Beatrix Potter bowls and Birks silver cups… not that we care, or anything.

Little Softie
Your kid's wardrobe runs the gamet from the practical (grey hoodie) to the ridiculous (remember when she would only leave the house in her Halloween costume for a month?).
Soft, a funky line of cotton clothing developed for children with sensitive skin, is as cool as it is comfortable. Tagless, zipperless and flat seamed, pieces are finished with eco-friendly enzyme washing to give them that soft, worn-in feeling. For a tongue-in-cheek dress-up session go for the unisex Tie Print tee (US$16, pictured). And to answer your question, yes, an adult line is coming soon.

Tweet Sweet
Our social media superstar status involves so much texting and tweeting that the world sees our phone more often than our face.
We found LSD Fashion Lab through an online ami, and quickly ordered the Studded iPhone Case (US$42) for our very own. We also loved the Studded Hand Satchel (US$28), a chic camera tote to ensure we’re always ready to capture those perfect paparazzi street-style shots.Or just to look cute when the paps snap us.
