Sweet Smelling Suds

Sometimes soap just there to get you clean and sometimes soap is your hall pass to a few moments of indulgent daydreaming.

Designer Sarah Tallman started in floral design, dabbled in home décor and honed her nose creating products for Estee Lauder, Ralph Lauren and Prada. When it came to creating her signature scent, Grove New York, Tallman went for style, whimsy and the faint promise of endless summers.

Her 250-gram bar of soap ($12) smells of sweet citrus and spiced rum, kind of like the scent you might imagine lacing the breeze blowing through your cabana set up on a beach somewhere between the Palm Beach, Florida and Horseshoe Bay, Bermuda.

Inhale, lather, rinse and repeat to hang on to summer for as long as possible. —Jaelyn Molyneux
