Polynesian Princess

We might not be crossing the Pacific Ocean for food anytime soon, but we can cross la fleuve.

The owners of Bice and Cavalli have opened Kabana, a swish new supper club at Brossard’s Quartier Dix30.  e love the wild Polynesian-style décor with hints of Canadiana: giant totem poles, antler-chandeliers and open gas fireplaces.

Start your luau with the signature Mango Daiquiri, a tasty Tiki-era cocktail made from pineapple, Pango Rhum and Haitian spices ($10). Next up, try the pan-fried salmon with maple syrup sauce and baked apples flavoured in caramelized Jack Daniels ($19). For dessert we dove into mini deep-fried donuts ($6) and balls of home-made sorbet ($6) that had us hula-dancing home.
