Montreal Wedding Trends
Our recent experiences with weddings have involved a titch too much champagne to be bothered noticing the details. So to find out the latest in wedding trends, we went straight to Wedding Wonder Woman Madeleine Kojakian of Maddy K Wedding and Events Atelier to get the dos and don’ts for I dos.
Be Hue
Wearing all white is way passé. Infuse your bridal look with a vibrant splash of colour or even a wild print to remind your new husband that you’ll never be totally tamed.
Bridesmaid Boudoir
They’ve paid hundreds of dollars for their dress, shoes, and showers for you, so thank your bridesmaid with a gift you can all enjoy together and keep forever. Arrange a retro photo session for you and your pin-up worthy pals with a boudoir photographer Andrea Hausmann.
Go Nuts
Although a dessert bar may be our favourite part of a wedding (second only to the open bar), we’re pretty impressed with the idea of a savoury nut bar, to enjoy with cocktails or as a late night snack. www.nicolinaservellofood.com
Tea for Two
No one ever eats those sugared almonds, and giving your guests a framed photo of yourself is just plain narcissistic. Why not give your guests a favour they can actually use, like a canister of Peppermint Amour tea from David’s Tea. Post-wedding hangover, begone! www.davidstea.com
