Maki me Happy

We know that sushi is good for our healthy diet, but we’re not sure how all that white rice factors in to our efforts to go low-carb.

We loved Fu.Shi’s less-rice-more-fish dictum fusing European and Japanese cuisine for a deliciously diverse dining experience. We started with the melt-n-your-mouth miso-marinated pan seared foie gras ($15), followed by a delicate duo of salmon and tuna tartare ($22). We delighted in the artistic maki platter, which included including our first-ever taste of a sushi crèpe, while our raw-reluctant pals opted for an angus filet mignon in blue miso sauce ($36). A delicious green tea ice cream sushi with caramelized fruit ($14) proved the perfect ending to our marine meal.

I guess we’re not that strict on our diet, after all. —JN
