A Mag Apart
There are a hundred glossies titled with “house” and “home” for those land-owning types. For the rest of us, there's Apartamento, a shambolic little shelter mag and the best thing to come from Italy since sliced foccacia.
The brillsville biannual, billed as an “everyday living interiors magazine,” is in its seventh issue—and it's heaven. Here's highly visual writer Bruce Benderson with his technicolour East Village cave. There's Zoe Bedeaux, the London-based stylist and self-described “sourceress,” in her apartment-cum-wunderkammer. And nowhere is there one sleek, super-modern, suspiciously clean expanse of wealth.
See, Apartamento isn't for Real Housewives. It's for real people. —SNP
