Finding a happy medium between bed-head and helmet hair can be challenge.
We’re taking charge of disheveled chic at Helmet, a new laid-back salon on Mount Royal East. Run by colourist Melanie Demers and cut 'n' colour man Jason Krejberg, it specializes in wash-and-go styles that make it easy to get out the door in the morning.
Demers’ colour motto is simple: no stripes or chunky streaks, while Krejberg uses lots of under-cutting for layers and volume. We adore the salon’s turquoise accent wall, slate floors, and art deco accents. Even better? Cuts are only $50, leaving us heady with glee.
