Ham it up for mama

Nothing says brunch like bacon, and nothing says Mother’s Day better than brunch. This weekend’s plans? A no-brainer.

This Sunday, take Mom to Hambar, the trendy new restaurant next to Hotel St-Paul that specializes in — you guessed it! — ham. Jambon Serrano tart ($17), Porchetta, fiddleheads and mostarda ($17), simple delicacies like cubes of maple ham ($6)… At Hambar, it’s all about a diverse offering of Italian, Spanish and local hams. Ham not for you? Try the smoked salmon, crème fraiche and blinis we crave.

And with such a warm yet vibrant décor, Hambar is the place to see and be seen (with your mama, of course). — Nina Mourin
