Bookmark a Bargain
We just added the Toronto décor site styleNorth to our daily blogroll. Founder Christopher Jones started it for anyone with great taste but limited means and he has a fabulous eye for fine finds in and around the GTA.
Check out his top tips for Making the Most of Craigslist including all-important rules of haggling.
- If an item is well-priced, don’t haggle, pounce
- If you want to make a lower offer, do so during the email or telephone exchange – not at the viewing
- Ask directly about an item’s condition; press for details on any rips, tears or cracks
- Don’t be afraid to walk away. You are under no obligation just because you booked an appointment to see the piece
