Bake Me a Cake
With wedding season upon us, we asked Cindy Coelho, who just unveiled her newest location of The Wedding Cake Shoppe, to tell us about the season’s hottest trends:
Are couples opting for simple or sumptuous confections?
Simple, streamlined cakes with larger sugar blossoms are in fashion this season.
And what about colour?
Big punches of colour also seem to be popular this summer.
What are the most asked for flavours?
Vanilla bean or strawberry buttercream. Some of our more fun flavours are spicy chai latte, dulce de leche and green tea though.
What can a couple expect to spend on the cake?
Ours start at $400 for 100 servings and we have a $75 minimum on all cake orders. The most expensive cake we have sold was $13,000.
