I finally made it to the tents at Nathan Phillips Square to catch Montreal designer Andy The-Ahn.  There was barely one false note in his collection which he called The Bow & The Beautiful.

Anyone who thinks Sensation Mode was a see-and-be-seen circus, hasn't been to Toronto!  Fashion Week kicked off here last night with a cocktail soiree at Holt Renfrew.  I beamed with pride as Denis Gagnon presented his fall collection.  Sequined leggings are so Montreal chic!

Lac-St-Jean native, Jerome C. Rousseau designs what I like to call "statement" shoes. His collection of sky-high strappies are not for the faint-of-foot.  But, at a recent stop at Holts to launch his spring line, he told me he designs as much for comfort as for beauty: "They are as comfy a 4-inch heel as you will get".

Our mouth is watering for this Limited Edition Chocolate Laundry duo from Miele.  Too bad it doesn't smell like truffles...
