I've been raving about Ontario food and wine all summer so was thrilled to get an invite to a four-course liquid lunch from the Ontario Tender Fruit Producers (www.ontariotenderfruit.com). Wine before noon? I'm always in.

I do admit it's a little early to be pinning boughs of holly but the pretty holiday collection from HomeSense (www.homesense.ca) had me feeling quite merry.

I started my blog because it was an instant way for me to get my opinion out. Models don’t often get a voice.  I give just enough out about my personal life that people don’t ask for more, like the fact that I got married.

I sat down bright and early for a croissant-and-latte chat with Coco Rocha at the Hotel St-Paul.  Dressed down in skinny jeans, ballet slippers, vest and animal print T, the newly minted Mrs. Conran (she just married her designer beau James) was in Montreal to shoot Ogilvy’s fall catalogue (out Sept 4th – sneak preview at http://yfrog.com/0up3qoj):

I love a bit of fashion for breakfast and that's just what I got at Holt Renfrew's Fall Preview event.   VP Fashion Direction Barbara Atkin's bi-annual visit to the Montreal store had me longing for a change (cool breezes can't come quick enough in the middle of a heat wave!). But first, don't you just love Holt Cafe's red leather chairs?

I've had a soft spot for Thompson Hotels ever since I received a lovely marriage proposal in room 203 of the LES New York property (http://bit.ly/cKniw7).  Now the first Canadian location has just popped up in Toronto.  I VIA railed down the 401 for the festivities.

I may write regularly about beauty but without proper study and keen focus, my head spins when walking down the make-up aisle.  If left to my own demise, I'd be wearing blush on my lips and teint on my temples.  So when James Boehmer, International Lead Makeup Stylist for NARS cosmetics, held court at Hotel Le Germain, I sat in rapt attention.
