Aside from Athena stealing the single-best title for gift lounging possible (am open to suggestions to beat her), today has been faaan-tastic. The streets are buzzing with TIFF, and we're running around trying to get you behind the closed doors.

Athena really wasn't kidding when she said her place looks like Christmas Eve. Mine looks more like a hungover Christmas morning, because there are bags, tissue, half-eaten desserts and crap all over the place from me rooting through the spoils. While she hopped on over to Rock-It PR Lounge, I went to see what the stars will be receiving directly in their rooms. This gifting idea is called Bask-It-Style, by JSquared2PR.

The idea with a lot of these gift lounges is to get the celebrity to show up, have their pic taken with the product, and as a thank you they get custom wares of their liking. It's a pretty nice deal for both parties, but sometimes it's nice to receive little TIFF gifts without having to be photo-ready. 

In this case, the stars can expect signed award-winning books from the likes of Lesley Livingston and Adrienne Kress, which I understand to be comparable to Twilight and Harry Potter. Perfect for reading in the tub pre-carpet.

There are also champagne truffles, by Teuscher Chocolates (mine were gone after hitting the first red light on the way home), lovely gold plated earrings by Foxy Originals, and Beauty Products by Mistura and Cargo. Google: Cargo's Reverse Lip Liner. Quite clever...

But my favourite item was a teeth whitening pen from Pure Med Spa. I'm hoping it can battle the TIFF espressos...maybe I'll break even.
