I'm totally committed to getting the word out on the greatness sprouting up around us in Toronto, so I would be doing a huge disservice to the community if SHOPGIRLS wasn't given a loving mention. The Queen West boutique is a hub for local talent, but its success comes from owner Michelle Germain's exquisite taste.

Michelle has been going strong for two years, and hasn't lost her excitement for the space, or her dedication to Canadian designers. She introduced me to Montreal designer Stacey Zhang by way of some lovely wool coats and edgy black blouses. And who doesn't need a hankerchief with a mustache on it? (See: what my hubby is getting for his birthday)

It is the must-visit shop in Parkdale, which is why I avoid it at all costs. Recycled fur hats, plush baby 'dreamer' toys, nursery-perfect prints, and Mackage coats were just a few of the items I had to tear myself away from.  

This time it was the Yoga Jeans that did me in. There's a bit of confusion surrounding Second's Yoga Jean, mostly because people assume that they're only meant for yoga-sport-exercising in. They're actually just really comfortable jeans, perfectly suitable for sexy occasions. The super stretch, over-dyed denim will become your new sweat suit. 

You know how you usually peel yourself out of your skinny jeans the second you get home, for favor of something MUCH less attractive (because they're bloody awful to wear while sitting on a couch)? Maybe that's just me...

These babies, will last you allllll night. 

Maybe now your significant other can get some of the sexy daytime you at night time?
