New York, I Love You

June 3rd, 2009

Soho is so ho-hum - The Lower East Side has become THE place to be after dark in NYC.  After rolling out of bed after a night of debauche, I headed over to Rivington Street for a vegan breakie at TeaNY.  They serve over 70 kinds of brew and if you're lucky Moby might greet you at the door (he owns this charming joint).  No sign of the cute baldy, but I did enjoy a fine Chai and some quality news.

Later, I spotted Lou Reed, Kirsten Dunst and Ed Burns among the crowds watching Leonard Cohen at Radio City.  And Shalom Harlow looked laissez-faire stunning in the bathroom line at intermission.  Tried not to stare - failed miserably.  Leonard was incredible: 3 hours of singing, 7 standing ovations and 4 encores. Not bad for 74!

I tried to take photos of the fab clothes inside the new Topshop on B'way but I was almost kicked out by security.  So all I have to show you is this...  Same thing happened at Uniqlo up the street - what is it with all the secrecy in this town??  Nevermind, just go.  Wear comfy shoes and bring lots of money.

I just loved the building that houses the New Museum on the Bowery.  Would I spend every weekend in New Yawk?  The sign says it all.
