Sometimes we need an outsider to tell us what's missing in our lives, and for Montreal, the pedicure-prescription came from Vancouverite Rory Richards. Visiting last summer for a Leonard Cohen concert, she noticed that the only places to get her nails done were exorbitantly-priced spas or sketchy storefronts. And so Rouge Nail Bar was born.

Rouge is set to change the face of Montreal nailcare (no acrylics!)as well as the look of St. Laurent, with a customized graffitti wall.

Its everything you would expect from a Leonard Cohen loving Vancouverite...the salon mixes a naturally chill West coast vibe and an authentic homey feel, with organic  beauty products displayed under a collection of Cohen's artwork.

At the opening of Montreal's first nail bar, I stepped up to enjoy a little mani from heaven.

Cohen, a relaxed atmosphere,and  a polished look...I think I just found another bar I'll become a regular at!
