While I wait for my French Prince Charmant to sweep me off to his Chateau in Burgundy, I'm practicing for my future job as chief decorator at the annual French Country Antiques sale. Held in a South Main warehouse, its a treasure trove of stainless steel stools (some you may recognize from Gastown's Salt Cellar), gorgeous old metal factory tables (pictured), chandeliers, art , antique quilts and smaller items like antique boules and ornate keys, all gorgeously curated by the grande dames of the sale. On second thought, who needs prince charming?
French Country Antiques sale runs Monday-Saturday till the end of April at 33 East 3rd Ave., Vancouver, www.frenchcountryantiques.org
