Louis Vuitton Maison Vancouver held its opening last night, and it was definitely one of the  most coveted invitations of the year.

The evening started at the store, with canapes, champers and walls of handbags. The two level boutique is a Louis-lovers fantasy! 

The display window pays homage to the lost art of traveling in (and with) style. It looks like a train station board, no?

After much air-kissing and swooming over $35,000 travel trunks, guests were transported via Escalades (so celebrity, no?) and taken to a secret location.

After a short car ride, we arrived at the clandestine destination and boarded a train. Steaming, romantic, and full of Vancouver's fashion set. Sorry we couldn't grab a snap, but hanging onto our champagne (yes, even on the train), our purse, and trying not to fall over on a moving vehicle, in heels, is not as easy as it sounds.

But once we arrived at Rocky Mountaineer Station, the party was jumping. LV trunks, several bars serving the best liquor money can buy, a live musical performance, DJ and dance floor transformed the vibe from luxe to cut-loose.

The porters made Olivers out of all of us: "Please sir, may I have some more" was the most overheard phrase of the night.

Causing a stirl among the female set was hottie, er model, Gabriel Aubrey. Our publisher Tara Parker Tait and our BIF (best industry friend) Libby Shumka saddled up for a photo.
