I've hiked a lot. (I figure the North Shore Mountains are there for a reason.)

But I'd never been heli-hiking. Until a few weeks ago, that is.

I joined Canadian Mountain Holidays on one of their summer adventures at Bugaboo Lodge, a few hours outside Banff.

And let me tell you, I could get used to travelling like this.

I spent my days following mountain goat trails to alpine lakes.

Trekking from peak to peak and cooling off at giant snowbanks.

All with the help of my trusty mountain guides (whose sense of direction is infallible).
