Le Faubourg has lacked excitement for the last decade or so, unless you count the delicious food court upstairs. Now that Concordia has grown around it, Le Faubourg is the  perfect spot for the 10th anniversary location of the newest StyleXchange, a one-stop-shop for young, urban style. Last week, StyleXchange rolled out the red carpet to herald the opening of their new location.

We got to watch an artist frantically trying to finish the last of the decor, climbing on furniture to create elaborately winding floral designs on the walls (they're painted with chalkboard paint, so it's ok!). Don't try this at home.

In addition to the mingling and window shopping, guests were treated to a sweet candy buffet by Sparkles Confectionary. And those colourful plastic disks in the background? Full of flavoured rice puddings from Riz en Folie.I'm not ashamed to admit that I snuck a couple of extra containers into my extra large purse for a take-home snack for later.

What? It's Le faubourg! I'm used to leaving there with food!
